My husband and I are searching for the perfect coffee maker. I will start by talking about our most recent purchase,
This machine is unfortunately getting returned. This is a “keurig” style coffee espresso maker, and it does a really good job at it. The pods are a bit pricey, averaging just over $1.00 each, but this coffee does taste much better than your standard keurig. Another PRO, it’s just as quick and convenient as the keurig in the morning, and you’re walking out the door with a deliciously foamy cappuccino for your work commute.
So now you’re asking.. If it sounds so great, why are you returning it? Well.. that’s simple, it leaks!! This machine has a water chamber on the side of it, except the water doesn’t actually stay in it. We’ve had this machine in use for just over a week now, and the first morning after use, I came downstairs to find a puddle all over the kitchen counter. The same counter that our toaster sits on as well. My first instinct was husband error, clearly he *had* to have done something wrong, right?! Cleaned up the mess, made sure everything was connected properly, went on my merry way and sure enough, there was ANOTHER leak. So now the machine sits on a baking sheet to collect the water leakage so we could at least use up the remainder of the yummy pods we purchased separately.
